Patch is welded up.
B-pillar buttress is also rotten. Repair part is fabricated before further demolition.
Contours are first worked out in cardboard...
...and then metal.

(Apparent rusty area above patch is actually reflection from red magnet.)

Old Alfa V-6 cylinder jug makes a handy mandrel for beating curved edge.
With buttress patch fabricated, last section of inner rocker can be cut away. Vise grip being used to twist off spot welded panel fragment, as outlined on page 16.
